Holding “Aviation Equipment” of State Corporation Rostec is completementing a pilot project to integrate its foundry production capacity on the basis of Ufa aggregate production association. Ufa competence center will provide virtually all the companies of the holding with the casting blanks, which significantly reduce the cost of production of components and systems for the promising Russian aviation.
“The project to establish a competence center for casting takes place in the framework of the development strategy of the holding company as a leading systems integrator. The main objective of the project is to reduce costs and accelerate the development of new products. To this end, the holding focuses foundry businesses on a single platform, allowing the manufacturing cost of castings of serial production to be reduced by 15%, while investments in foundry capacity reduced at times, – said General Director of holding “Aircraft Equipment” Maxim Kuzyuk.
