Modern combat patrol boat of “Okhotnik”, able to carry on board a helicopter arrived on the arms of the Crimean border guards, the chief of the Border Service of Russia in the Republic of Crimea Gennady Medvedev informed.
According to Medvedev, the ship was built at the “Almaz” in St. Petersburg. After the acceptance test in a month it will be released to the protection of the state border. “The uniqueness of this vehicle is that despite the small displacement, it can take on board the helicopter. There are not a lot of ships in the world,” Medvedev said, RIA Novosti reported. According to him, despite the fact that the “Amethyst” is able to carry a small helicopter series K-226, however its search capabilities, thereby, increases several times. The head of the Crimean frontier also noted that the ship set communications and information technology the past of modern developments and a high degree of automation allows to minimize the number of crew. In particular, on the ship are serving more than 20 people.
The volume of sales of “Kuznetsov” in 2014 increased compared with 2013 by 919.34 million rubles, or 10.1%. The results of the company for the past 12 months have been announced at the annual general meeting. The participants also approved the company’s annual report, financial statements, elected a new board of directors.
In 2014, the company, part of United Engine Corporation, sold products amounted to 10, 055 billion rubles. The increase in sales volume occurred in the segments of aircraft and rocket engines, the supply of which in the past year brought the “Kuznetsov” 3.098 billion rubles and 4.394 billion rubles, respectively. Another 2.442 billion rubles, the company has earned because of the supply of land industrial installations for the transport and pumping gas.

Russia is test-launching a new hypersonic attack aircraft that can carry nuclear warheads and penetrate missile defense systems, US media said citing a report by Jane’s Information Group.
The development of the Yu-71 vehicle took several years, and Russia reportedly conducted the most recent test flight on February 26, with an SS-19 missile trying to deliver the Yu-71 to space. The new hypersonic aircraft is part of Moscow’s plans to modernize its Strategic Missile Forces.
An auditor from Rolls-Royce visited VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation to examine the titanium giant’s manufacturing of innovative products, namely six forgings for a new engine series.
Two of the titanium giant’s shops produced the new instruments for Rolls-Royce.
Over the course of two weeks, the auditor from Rolls-Royce, Robert Scherbaum, oversaw the forging of five discs in shop number 21 with a press force of 30 tons. The sixth disc will be forged during the next planned visit of Robert Scherbaum to VSMPO-AVISMA, scheduled for July.
As this was Robert Scherbaum’s first visit to Russia and VSMPO-AVISMA, he was shown the main production shops of the enterprise, including the laboratories of the Research and Development Center and the shop for machining forgings of the joint venture Ural Boeing Manufacture.
The guest was also invited to tour Nizhny Tagil and visit the armored vehicles museum of Uralvagonzavod, according to RIA Federa lPress.
In May 2015 specialists of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI) have completed the first stage of a project related to studying a model of a next-generation short-haul airliner. This aircraft is being developed by TsAGI under the Federal Target Program “Development of civil aircraft for 2002–2010 and the period until 2015”. The model was tested in the institute’s trans-sonic wind tunnel, TsAGI’s press-service reports.
«The next-generation aircraft has no analogues in the world; it is distinguished by two major innovations.
The first innovation introduced by TsAGI’s specialists is a low-sweep wing, which ensures laminar flow with no random velocity and pressure fluctuations on the surface, and significantly reduces aircraft drag. The use of state-of-the-art wing airfoils allows keeping the same speed as that of predecessors — 830-850 km/h.
The second distinguishing feature of the new aircraft is the placement of the engines above the trailing edge of the wing. The scientists chose this configuration to reduce the noise from the aircraft flying over areas adjacent to airports. This environmental requirement is constantly becoming stricter and it is becoming one of the major criteria for the development of advanced aircraft.
Aviastar-SP, one of the largest enterprises of Russia’s aircraft industry, will deliver a total of three latest Il-76MD-90A transport aircraft in 2015, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Aviastar-SP CEO Sergey Dementyev.
A contract for delivery of 39 Il-76MD-90A aircraft to Russian Ministry of Defense was signed in 2012. Under the contract the first jet of the type was delivered to the ministry in April 2015.
“Production of Il-76MD-90A is the enterprise’s top-priority project. In 2015 the plant delivered one jet of the type. Under the contract with the Ministry of Defense Aviastar will deliver two more Il-76MD-90A aircraft this year,” the enterprise’s press-service noted.
In late May Il-76MD-90A MSN 0105 was delivered from the Aviastar’s final assembly workshop to Spektr-Avia responsible for painting the jet. All the necessary aircraft systems and equipment were installed; the jet’s cockpit is fitted with state-of-the-art avionics. Leakage tests of the wing box and wing stub box have been successfully completed, the press-service noted.
“After the painting is complete, the ground tests of the new Il-76MD-90A will continue,” Aviastar reports. After that the jet will be delivered to the customer. Il-76MD-90A was derived from the proven Il-76 aircraft developed by Ilyushin Company”.
United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) is negotiating deliveries of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ 100) to Egyptian flag carrier Egypt Air, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the official representative of the company and a source from the Russian delegation.
“Two SSJ 100 aircraft arrived in Cairo in order to take part in a presentation: one of them (business version) transported the leaders of Russian delegation to Cairo in order to participate in Russian-Egyptian business forum. The second one in “75th anniversary of Sukhoi Design Bureau” livery arrived in Cairo to participate in the demonstration,” official representative of UAC said.
The source from the Russian delegation noted that the Russian party is negotiating with Egypt Air. At the same time he didn’t specify the number of jets that may be delivered to the carrier and added that today the airline is successfully operating Embraer aircraft having similar capacity.
Sukhoi SuperJet 100 aircraft is manufactured by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC); its shareholders are Sukhoi Holding Company and Alenia Aermacchi. The company was established in 2000 in order to develop new aircraft. A total of 99 Sukhoi SuperJet 100 airliners have been manufactured so far. The first jet of the type was delivered to a customer in 2011. At present 44 SSJ 100 liners are being operated. The list price of each jet is around $36 million.
In early June, a group of companies “Unmanned Systems” completed internal testing of the new UAV Supercam S-300M (Burevestnik).
Development of the new drone began in the summer of 2013. The engineers faced a difficult task: to increase the number of payloads simultaneously mounted on the UAV.
As a result ofresearch and development work there was created a multi-purpose tactical drone with a flight of 3.5 hours and the possibility of simultaneous installation of three payloads, one of which is mounted on a three-axis gyro-stabilized optical-electronic platform for direct drive, with the possibility to review of the entire lower hemisphere, and the other two – on fixed platforms. There may be any variation of cameras: Camcorder HD / PAL, thermal imager, combined with a video camera 720×576, ultra-high sensitivity video camera, camera with full-frame sensor with a resolution of 36 megapixels.
Experts from Neftekamsk, Ufa, Samara, Togliatti, Saratov, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Podolsk, Novorossiysk will appreciate the possibility of a new fire KAMAZ equipped with extinguishing system HIROMAX.
During the rally in the Russian cities it will visit the regional offices of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and specialized fire-rescue units EMERCOM of Russia, which will be presented fire engine AC-3, 0-40 (43502) with the system HIROMAX. It is produced at NEFAZ, a subsidiary of KAMAZ in Neftekamsk.
Features of the machine will be demonstrated at venues during training with the participation of heads of extinguishing fire services and fire brigades.
