Serial production of armored family “Boomerang” will begin in 2017, deputy chairman of the board of the Military-Industrial Commission under the President of the Russian Federation Oleg Bochkarev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“Boomerang” is the average wheel unified platform, based on which a whole family of combat and support vehicles will be developed. Earlier it was reported that “Boomerang” would be presented at the Victory Parade in 2015, later it was reported that the industry would not have time to prepare samples for the parade.

Russia and Cyprus renewed a defence co-operation agreement on 25 February that permits Russian warships to use Cypriot ports.

The agreement provides a solid legal basis for the Russian ships already making stops at the Cypriot port of Limassol. During his visit to Moscow, Cypriot president Nicos Anastasiades further revealed that the two countries were discussing the possibility of Russia using an airbase in Cyprus, for “humanitarian relief missions”.

Accompanying the defence agreement were eight other bilateral agreements intended to reinforce co-operation on the economy, in energy, and in mutual promotion of investments. According to media reports, the Russian parliament also agreed as a part of the deal to a crucial postponement to 2021 of the repayment of EUR2.5 billion owed by Cyprus and due in 2016.

Irkutsk Aviation Plant (part of Irkut Corporation) started production of full flight simulators (FFS) for Su-30SM fighters, which are being delivered to Russian air forces, Interfax reports with reference to the press-service of the enterprise.

The FFS are being manufactured under a contract with Russian Ministry of Defense.

“Appearance of the simulator is almost identical to the nose part of Su-30SM’s fuselage, but there are some differences: FFS is not fitted with some components required only during flight,” the press-service added.

Russia has 9 Su-30MKI assembly kits left to deliver to India

In 2015 Irkut Corporation will deliver six Su-30MKI assembly kits to India (fighters will be assembled by HAL), RIA Novosti reports with reference to Senior Vice-President of the corporation, Vitaly Borodich.

“We have six assembly kits (including materials, components, etc.) left to deliver under contract for delivery of 42 kits signed in 2012,” Borodich said at Aero India 2015 airshow.

The contract will be implemented this year, the source added. We remind you that a total of 222 assembly kits should be delivered to India.

Russia and India are the largest partners in the area of military-technical cooperation: over 70% of weapons and military equipment used by Indian army, air forces and navy were manufactured in USSR and Russia.

According to the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, in 2013 Russia delivered weapons and military equipment to India worth $4,78 billion, in 2014 – $4,7 billion.

Belarus ещ receive four gyroplane Calidus from Russia

The Russian company “AutoGyroRussland” will supply Belarus with batch of light gyroplanes for borders.
“In the near future a contract to supply to Belarus a batch of light gyroplanes of Calidus series will be signed,” Director of the company “AutoGyroRussland” Ruslan Ustinov said.

According to him, only four gyroplanes will be supplied to Belarus. According to the draft contract, gyros which will be provided for the Belarusian border guards will have special equipment in the form of twenty-four-hour cameras and other equipment needed to patrol the border.
