Foundation for Advanced Studies decided to create marine robot guards


Laboratory Foundation for Advanced Studies at the Institute of Marine Technology Problems will create underwater mobile robot border guards, the Fund told Tass.
“According to the results of the laboratory can be created mobile controls underwater situation in various parts of the maritime borders of the Russian Federation”, the agency said.
According to him, promising underwater robotics lab will create the technical means to detect and determine the coordinates of moving objects underwater, including low noise. “Under this project, a special laboratory underwater robot,” said the representative of the Foundation.


“Stuffing” for the first Russian nuclear power sources to be produced in Tomsk


In 2016 scientists of the Tomsk Polytechnic University will produce the first experimental batch of “stuffing” for the first Russian nuclear power sources that will produce the company of state corporation “Rosatom” Mining and Chemical Combine (MCC, Zheleznogorsk).

This was reported by head of the Department of Technical Physics of the Tomsk Polytechnic University Igor Shamanin to RIA Novosti on Tuesday, June 9 .

A joint project of the MCC and the Siberian Aerospace University Reshetnev for the production of electric batteries, using energy of “soft” beta decay of nickel-63 radioisotope was previously one of the winners of the Ministry of Education and Science. This project will create a new generation of stand-alone electronics and medical technology.

Cluster of Railway Engineering organized in the Vladimir region


A new cluster is created in railway engineering in the Vladimir region. The administration of Vladimir region and non-profit partnership “Association of railway equipment” signed a cooperation agreement.  The document signed by the governor of the region Svetlana Orlova and president of NP “OPZHT” Valentin Gapanovich.

The agreement was signed in Murom on passing a meeting on measures to promote import substitution and support domestic producers.  The main point of cooperation will be considered all the possibilities for development in the field of railway engineering and the need to create territorial scientific and industrial cluster required for the creation, production, promotion sales markets of railway engineering.

“Avtokran” supplying military equipment


“Avtokran” is preparing for the delivery of another batch of vehicles at the request of military organizations.

Only in 2014 the plant has produced more than 20 mobile cranes for military use. Military  organizations  couldchoose between KC-3574M2, 3574M3 COP, COP-45731M1, 45731M2 of carrying capacity of 16 tons.

Crane KS-45731M1, equipped with modern boom ovoid profile with length of 23 meters and the largest in its class workers leaving for 21 meters, deserves special attention in this line. This crane can be used for the movement of hazardous cargo and operates without installing anything on the outriggers. High load on the chassis frame handles 3-axle chassis Ural-4320 having 6×6. The machine is even capable of moving with the load on the hook, that is inaccessible to many civilian models. Reinforced front axles and steering, wide tires alternating pressure ensure reliable operation of the equipment with full off-road.

Novokuznetsk Carriage Works mastered production of innovative gondola cars


Novokuznetsk Carriage Plant entered into the National Register “Leading industrial enterprises of Russia-2014”.

In 2014, in accordance with the strategy of development of railway transport in Russia, Novokuznetsk Carriage Plant  launched into production an innovation gondola car: Model 12-9850-02 on carts 18-194-1 and model 12-9853 on 18-9855 carts. These gondola cars have a higher load capacity – 75 tons, mileage up to depot repair – 500 thousand km, and increased service life to 32 years. Load of wheel pair axle is 25 ton.

The introduction of a new generation of open wagons, with increased load capacity, strength and durability, and ease of use, can significantly increase the economic efficiency of transport.

“Generatsiya” to supply equipment for the Ministry of Defense


“Generatiya” has signed a contract for a large supply of equipment for the Ministry of Defense.

Ltd. “Generatiya of Power Equipment” signed a contract for the production of equipment for the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation (Moscow region).

According to the agreement “Generatiya-PE” is to produce12 steam boilers of E1,0-0,9  series of own production “Generatiya” – 4 gas, 4 coal, 4 fuel oil. Shipment of the boilers to the Customer will be made in the next month.

Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade to establish a specialized material research center


Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade suggested establishing a specialized material research center on the basis of All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials. It will be responsible for consolidation of all the aircraft industry’s innovative potential. It was stated by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, during his visit to Irkutsk, press-service of the ministry reports.

“The center will be established in 2016. The National Research Center “Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky” may be considered as a model for this project; the Institute is successfully implementing projects for development of new composites and aircraft systems, which increase the competitive ability of Russian aircraft,” said in the ministry’s statement.

«Increase of a share of Russian-produced components used by the national aircraft industry is demonstrated in the network of MS-21 project. At present 50% of the jet’s components are manufactured in Russia and this indicator will reach 60% by the start of the aircraft’s mass production, – Denis Manturov said. – I ask you to make the best use of our scientific centers’ capabilities. Thanks to such cooperation we will be able to reduce time needed for production of state-of-the-art aircraft».

Russia not going to postpone Bulava ballistic missile test launch


Russia’s Defense Ministry rejected on Tuesday media reports that the test launch of the Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile planned until year-end has been postponed.

“Media reports of alleged decision to put off the planned test launch of the sea-based Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile until autumn 2015 are untrue,” the ministry’s official spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.

The missile will be launched from a submarine until the end of this year, he stressed. The spokesman added that in line with the plan for 2015, two launches of sea-based Bulava are to be conducted.

Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and OAO “Rosoboronexport” signed cooperation agreement


On October 21, 2014 at the opening of the XVIII International Exhibition of State Security “Interpolitech-2014″ in Moscow there was signed an Agreement on cooperation in the sphere of military-technical and foreign trade activities between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the OAO “Rosoboronexport”.

The document was signed by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Gerasimov and First Deputy General Director of OAO “Rosoboronexport” Ivan Goncharenko.

The agreement provides for cooperation between the parties in the military-technical sphere on the basis of the legislation of the Russian Federation and normative legal acts the Russian MIA.

For many years, “Rosoboronexport” conducts a marketing strategy coordinated with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the interests of law enforcement. This is a significant contribution to addressing the threats of international terrorism and extremism.

Short-range UAVs for the Russian Armed Forces to be produced in 2015


Russian Ministry of Defense will order the production of several hundred Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Director of UAV development programs at Russia’s Vega Radio Engineering Corporation Arkady Syroyezhko told RIA Novosti.

“According to our estimates, the Ministry of Defense will need several hundred UAVs until 2020. We need to think about how and where to produce the requested amount of hardware the client needs. We have set up an investment project, and next year we are launching a short-range [UAV] systems production facility in Rybinsk [a city in Russia’s Yaroslavl region],” Syroyezhko said.

Syroyezhko added that short- and medium-range UAVs market is a completely new branch of production, and Russia does not have an adequate basis for such industry just yet.
