Russian defense industry has the technology to dramatically enhance the characteristics of domestic infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, armored cars and BMD. So this summer during the military-technical forum “Army – 2015” in Moscow Kubinka OAO “NII Stali” presented its most advanced development.
For example, a ceramic plate to protect the light armored vehicles. Its structure consists of a protective flat SIC ceramics based on aluminum or steel substrate. This panel provides protection against small-caliber artillery shells with cores of heavy alloys caliber up to 30 mm.

For the protection of armored vehicles other panel consisting of roller ceramics based on corundum in the polymer matrix on the steel or aluminum substrate is developed. The level of protection enables to withstand B-32 armor-piercing bullets hit of caliber 14.5 mm.

Main engine to be installed at the head tanker project 23130

On the “Nevsky Shipyard” in Schlusselburg installation of the main engine on the head tanker project 23130 “Academician Pashin” began. Construction of the hull is completed to the level of the main deck.
“Launching is scheduled for late November. The vessel is being built, below the main deck everything is built, ship main engine is being installed. Most of the equipment has already been purchased for the tanker,” the source of the company said, adding that the work is carried out according to plan.

STLC and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company signed a firm contract for delivery of 32 Sukhoi SuperJet 100 aircraft

State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC, part of United Aircraft Corporation) signed a firm contract for delivery of 32 Sukhoi SuperJet 100 aircraft at MAKS-2015 international airshow; the jets will be leased out to Russian regional airlines (under operating lease agreements).

Signing of this contract was announced by the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at the opening ceremony of MAKS-2015. The document was signed by STLC CEO Sergey Khramagin and SCAC President Ilya Tarasenko.

Sergey Khramagin said at the signing ceremony: «STLC has a vast experience in working with regional airlines and leasing of regional aircraft. Our cooperation with SCAC will help renew and expand fleets of Russian carriers, contribute to development of Russian aircraft industry and promote import substitution in this segment».

Ilya Tarasenko, in his own turn, noted: «So far the contract with STLC is the largest order for Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. Cooperation with STLC opens up new possibilities for the project in terms of promotion of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. I am confident that our cooperation will be fruitful and potential customers and operators of SSJ100 will get maximum advantages on favorable terms».

New contracts for delivery of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ 100) aircraft signed at MAKS-2015 international airshow are valued at more than $1 billion, Interfax reports with reference to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russian Federation Andrei Boginsky.

“A contract with Yamal Airlines alone is valued at $700 million. A total value of contracts for delivery of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 aircraft signed at the airshow is over $1 billion,” Boginsky said, answering a question about preliminary financial results of MAKS-2015.

According to him, representatives of Iran also showed interest in the aircraft at the airshow; the talks are in progress. Speaking of potential orders, Boginsky said that orders might be placed for “several tens” of SSJ100 liners. The Deputy Minister reminded that contract for deliveries of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ 100) to China via a joint leasing company is being prepared. He thinks that about 100 jets of the type may be delivered to China.

In the network of MAKS-2015 airshow government of Irkutsk Region, United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Irkut Corporation and Federal Center of Project Finance (FCPF) signed an agreement for integrated management of the machine-building cluster located in Irkutsk Region, FCPF reported.

The document was signed by interim governor of Irkutsk Region Sergey Eroschenko, UAC President Yuri Slusar, Irkut Corporation President Oleg Demchenko and FCPF CEO Alexander Bazhenov.

“In order to prepare a project for establishment of an industrial park, which will be included in the machine-building cluster, the participants are going to establish a specialized project company in a form of economic partnership – Irkut Industrial Park. The parties are also going to receive state support and use extra-budgetary resources in order to create the park’s infrastructure. One of the key conditions for attracting private investments is the high quality of the project’s preparation ensured by FCPF. The industrial park’s project will be prepared using funds provided by FCPF, which is also going to take part in feasibility study and development of documentation required to attract a private investor,” FCPF noted.

UEC received the AR IAC type certificate for TV7-117V engine

United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec State Corporation) received AR IAC (aviation registry of the interstate aviation committee) type certificate for TV7-117V turboshaft engine developed by Klimov Company. The type certificate was issued in accordance with requirements of the Federal Aviation Regulations part 33 (FAR-33). The solemn certificate presentation ceremony was held in the network of MAKS-2015 international airshow; top officials of UEC and AR IAC took part in it.

On August 27th the solemn certificate presentation ceremony was held at UEC’s stand at MAKS-2015; the type certificate for the new TV7-117V turboshaft engine developed by Klimov Company (part of UEC) was presented to the company. AR IAC Chairman Vladimir Bespalov, UEC CEO Alexander Artyukhov, Klimov Company Executive Director Alexander Vatagin, Klimov Company General Designer Alexey Grigoryev and Managing Director of Chernyshev Moscow Machine-Building Enterprise Amir Khakimov, took part in the ceremony.

Production of optical and electronic systems for the UAV “Orion” is scheduled to begin in 2017, the annual serial production should reach 30 articles. It follows from the report of “Research and Production Corporation” Precision Instrumentation Systems” on the basis of work in 2014.

Tekhnodinamika has products to offer creators of Russian-Chinese long-haul aircraft

“Tekhnodinamika” is ready to participate in the configuration of the joint Russian-Chinese long-haul wide-body aircraft. This was explained by CEO of the Holding Maxim Kuzyuk.

“Now we are forming the appearance of the aircraft. While it has not been formed, we can not make a specific commercial order,” said Maxim Kuzyuk.

According to him, “Tekhnodinamika” has received a request for information from the aircraft manufacturers. Now the holding company is to set out the details so that the client knew what the vendor can offer.
