Russian Airborne Troops plan to get 800 sets of Ratnik this year in the framework of the state defense order, the commander of the Airborne Troops Colonel-General Vladimir Shamanov said.
“There are a number of flaws which are in the stage of solving. We hope that by the end of this year they will be completed, and the following year the equipment will massively enter the army,” the General said.
“As far as I know – he added – now the state defense order (of 2015) provides delivery of 800 sets of equipment in the Airborne.”
Shamanov said that Ratnik will be equipped with first intelligence units.
