A shipment of Su-34 frontline bombers was handed over to the Russian Air Force at the Novosibirsk aviation plant named after Chkalov (Chkalov plant). The company has also transferred a batch of SU-35S aircraft.
The handover ceremony was held at the Gagarin Aviation Plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the Russian Far East.
“The airplanes were manufactured under the state orders on the delivery of the combat aviation equipment to the Russian Air Force envisaged by the State Armament Program for 2011-2020. Their implementation will make it possible to deeply modernize the country’s armed forces and guarantee the Sukhoi company and its sub-contracting enterprises the workload for the long-term perspective,” the press service said.
