Factory “Yantar” to give Russian Navy three warships before the end of the year

Russian Navy will get three warships built at the Baltic Shipyard “Yantar” in Kaliningrad to the end of 2015. This was announced by the head of the Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for public contracts Pavel Pechkovskii at a ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the plant.
These are Project 11356 frigates “Admiral Grigorovich” and “Admiral Essen.” the first one is currently completing factory sea trials in the Baltic Sea, the second has started mooring trials. Pechkovskii said that on the instructions of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Kaliningrad shipbuilders build six frigates of “admiral” series for the Black Sea Fleet.

A large landing ship “Ivan Gren” – the lead ship of the project 11711 is also preparing for trials, it will be given to the Russian Navy this year.
