Complexes “Safe City” to ensure order during 2018 World Cup

Hardware-software complex “Safe City” will be introduced in St. Petersburg and the Kaliningrad region in order to ensure public safety during FIFA World Cup in 2018, the Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said.

“In particular, in the Kaliningrad region surveillance system is planned to cover railway stations, the airport “Khrabrovo”, routes of the participants and guests of the championship. The same work is planned in St. Petersburg”, – Patrushev said on Wednesday at a meeting with the heads of subjects of the Russian Federation, members of the North-West Federal District and representatives of federal executive bodies. Development of the “Safe City” was one of the topics of the meeting.
