Anti-aircraft missile-gun complex “Pantsir-M”, intended to equip the ships of the Navy of Russia, is put into production. This was told by the chief designer for the air defense systems of sea-based Instrument Design Bureau named after Shipunov Alexander Zhukov, according to Tass.
“The complex is put into production”, – he said at the International Maritime Defence Show (IMDS-2015) in St. Petersburg.
Zhukov did not clarify for which ships serial “Pantsir-M” is designed. Previously the Managing Director of the Instrument Design Bureau Dmitriy Konoplev said that a number of large surface ships would be upgraded to use sea “Pantsir”.
In addition, according to Zhukov, the export version – “Pantsir-ME” – moves into the international market.
