PD-14 engine in the coming months is expected to flight test


Newest PD-14 engine for Russia’s MS-21 aircraft will be fitted on the plane-laboratory in the next few months and flight tests will begin.

This was announced by the deputy general director of “United Engine Building Corporation” (UEC) Dmitry Kolodyazhni, RIA Novosti reported.

In mid-June at the Air Show Le Bourget 2015 the Chief of the sales of the Corporation “Irkut” Valery Lunkov told that Russian PD-14 engine development UEC will be installed when shipped MS-21 aircraft the Ministry of Defense and other government agencies, and commercial customers a US engine GTS Pratt & Whitney.
