KBtochmash developed naval version of anti-aircraft missile system “Sosna” for small ships

“Precision Engineering Design Bureau named after Nudelman” (KBtochmash, part of “Rostec”) has developed a version of the installation on ships of small displacement (less than 500 tonnes) of its newest short-range anti-aircraft missile complex under the export name “Sosna”, Managing Director of KBtochmash Vladimir Slobodchikov said on Tuesday in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“We have created complex “Palma” which has a serious weight: 6.9 tonnes for air defense artillery complex “Palma”, and up to 7.2 tons for anti-aircraft missile and artillery system “Palma”. These complexes can be used for ships with a displacement of 500 tons. At present, we are working with shipbuilders on question of the installation of “Sosna” military unit on small ships with a displacement of less than 500 tons.
