Savin: Russia has anti-satellite weapons, but not for attack

Russia and the Soviet Union never developed weapons and space attack, all projected funds were directed only at providing defense aerospace, said the creator of the world’s first anti-satellite systems and satellite interceptor, the supervisor of the group EKR “Almaz-Antey” Anatoly Savin.

He noted that in Soviet times, such developments were not advertised. According to him, many domestic design solutions have been much easier and better than what was done in the US, and therefore left them behind in the race of space weapons.
