Russian ships “Alexander Otrakovsky” and “Novocherkassk” entered the Mediterranean Sea


Large landing ship “Alexander Otrakovsky” Northern Fleet “Novocherkassk” zone of the Black Sea Fleet passed the Straits and entered the Mediterranean Sea, reported Monday in the General Staff of the Russian Navy.

A day earlier, the same course followed tug MB-31 Black Sea Fleet, “Interfax”.

These events were held in the framework of planned rotation of large landing ships (BDK) as part of a permanent task force of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea, was added to the Main Staff of the Navy.

27 March it was reported that the Northern Fleet BOD “Severomorsk” headed west Mediterranean to demonstrate the St. Andrew’s flag and symbols of the Russian naval presence.
