Central Institute of Aviation Motors discussed acoustic refinement of PD-14 engine

Central Institute of Aviation Motors held scientific and technical workshop on fine-tuning acoustic PD-14 engine – a promising domestic aircraft engine, designed for installation on the liner MS-21. The discussion was attended by representatives of “Aircraft Engine”.

The seminar heard reports on the work on the final design of the fan acoustic PD-14, accounting estimates and computational studies of tonal noise of the low pressure compressor (LPC), the results of acoustic calculations CPV and full-size fan stage PD-14, the expected and realized in the model conditions the effectiveness of methods reducing fan noise turbofan engines.
