Russian Armed Forces to receive Buk-M3 air defense missile system before yearend

The Russian Armed forces will receive Buk-M3 air defense missile systems before the end of 2015, a source at Russia’s Defense Ministry told TASS on Monday.

The Buk missile system is considered one of the most effective in its class.

“By the end of the year, it is planned to put into service of the air defense troops of the Ground Forces the newest anti-aircraft missile system” Buk-M3″ of medium-range, and as of 2016 it will be delivered to the army,” – said the source in the agency.

Military already spoke about upcoming adoption into service of “Buk-M3″ in 2007 and 2012.
