High Precision Systems to control Tula Arms Plant

The consolidation of Russia’s defence industrial base under Rostec (formerly Russian Technologies) has continued with the announcement that the state holding group has acquired complete control over the Tula Arms Plant.
The Tula Arms Plant – a manufacturer of small arms and anti-tank guided missiles – has been merged under the Rostec subsidiary High Precision Systems.
High Precision Systems was created in 2009 to consolidate activities in the fields of advanced, precision weapons. In addition to the Tula Arms Plant, it is composed of: the KBP Instrument Design Bureau (a manufacturer of small arms, missiles, and land systems); Nudelman KBTochmash (a developer of guided missile systems for land systems and aircraft); Rotor JSC (a maker of subsystems for air defence systems and aircraft); JSC Sheglovsky (unspecified military components); Tulamashzavod (a maker of large-calibre automatic guns for land systems); and Tulatochmash (a developer of simulation systems).
